Hidden gem in Walnut Grove serving tasty Persian dishes. We tried the Koobideh Kebab (Beef) and the Vaziri Kebaba (Chicken and Beef Kebab Combo). Both kebabs were full of flavour and not overpowering. Paired really well with the salad and saffron rice. Quality of the meat was good, the chicken cuts were fresh and grilled perfectly. The beef was tasty and full of flavour. The staff were very courteous and friendly; customer service was top notch. They offered us a taste of the saffron lemonade and we liked it so much that we ordered a glass to go with our meal. Very clean restaurant with good vibes. We'll be back to try the other dishes.

We found this by chance when we were searching for Persian food. This is a recently opened Turkish/Iranian family restaurant. Nothing to fancy for donair place but the resto was clean and enough chairs for families. They had everything we were looking for and the taste was authentic and very delicious. The lamb and beef koobideh were very tender and juicy. The single kebab plate we ordered was enough meat- very decent and generous size. The kebab plate comes with grilled tomato and spiced beets which was a nice touch, choice of plain/dill rice. I do prefer a lot of fava beans in the dill rice, I think I only had one. Next time we will order additional rice. Our kids enjoyed it and finished 1 whole kebab to themselves. They were given fries on the house. It was exceptional service. We left very full and we will be going back! No need to go to North Van if we have the Persian food cravings.

This is a nice and friendly Persian family owned restaurant newly opened. Excellent food. Friendly warm staff. They were happy to know i speak their language when we lived in Iran for 3 years. The koobidehs were very delicious. The meat were good quality and tender. Generous servings. Zereshk polo, lamb, shirazi salad, were wonderful. We also tried their tadiq. Our grandchildren ate all their meat. Clean restaurant also. Will return and eat here now regularly.

X Grill in Langley is a gem! The food was fresh and absolutely delicious, and the customer service was top-notch. We were warmly greeted with a friendly intro to the restaurant and its cuisine. What really stood out was their kindness—even offering juice to a mother and daughter who stopped in just to use the washroom. A welcoming vibe all around. Only two weeks in, and already a standout spot!

Thrilled to discover a new restaurant so close to home. Everything came out fast, hot, and super fresh. The meat was tender and well seasoned, and the saffron rice was light and fluffy. We’ll definitely be adding this place to our regular lineup. Walnut Grove needs more diversity and this is a welcome addition!

I visited this restaurant once and tried several dishes with my friends. The food was incredibly delicious and high quality. Because of that great experience, I ordered food from this restaurant for my son’s first birthday. The food arrived on time with beautiful presentation, and it was absolutely delicious. Almost every guest asked me which restaurant the food was from. Their kebabs have a uniquely delicious flavor. I ordered Koobideh and chicken kebab, and I’ve also tried their Donair, which was excellent as well. I can confidently recommend this place—whether you want a tasty meal for a Yummy night or high-quality catering for a big event.

I had the Beef Donair Royal here and it was fantastic! The portion was very generous and super filling. The special bread they used really stood out — soft, fresh, and something I’ve never had before with a donair. They also offered me complimentary baklava with tea, which was a lovely surprise. The baklava was delicious and paired perfectly with the tea. Great food, generous portions, and friendly service — I’ll definitely be back!

First time trying out this new restaurant and was not disappointed. Service was very good and the food was super delicious. Was also very flexible with the options available. The guy who took our order was very helpful in explaining the various dishes. We ordered the koobideh kebab and saffron chicken and both were absolutely awesome. The meats were freshly made and super tender and juicy. We also ordered the chicken wings kebab which were also very delicious. The saffron lemonade was very refreshing and not too sweet. Will definitely go back to try the other dishes.

X Grill, nestled in the heart of Langley’s Walnut Grove, is a fresh beacon for lovers of authentic Persian and Turkish cuisine. This newly opened family-run restaurant offers a warm, inviting atmosphere and a commitment to quality that shines through every dish. From my first bite, it was clear that X Grill focuses on delivering genuine flavors with a modern touch, making it a noteworthy addition to Langley’s dining scene.

The standout here is undoubtedly their koobideh kebabs—both beef and chicken-beef combos. The meat is tender and juicy, perfectly seasoned, and grilled to perfection without overpowering the palate. Accompanying the kebabs, the saffron-infused rice is light, fluffy, and aromatic, elevating the meal while balancing the rich flavors of the meat. The addition of grilled tomato and spiced beets adds a thoughtful contrast and a deeper dimension to the plate, reflecting authentic Persian culinary traditions.

Beyond the food, the atmosphere at X Grill is refreshing. The restaurant is spotless and carries a relaxed vibe, ideal for families and casual diners alike. The staff’s genuine hospitality adds to the experience—they greet guests warmly and go the extra mile, even offering samples like their vibrant saffron lemonade, which pairs beautifully with the savory dishes. Small kindnesses, like complimentary fries for children and heartfelt conversations about the cuisine, make this place feel like more than just a restaurant.
